Artist's Comments

I did this for a jerkwad who decided that rather than let me do the work which he'd hired me for, he'd rather steal a bunch of my stuff. The script was crap. It was about a pig farmer who deep-fries homeless dudes and prostitutes.

But at least it would've had a decent cover... I think.

So I don't get it. He stole your ideas or something?
I like how that story sounds, though I'm interested in where it'd go beyond that..
Neat cover though. Lovely composition of ideas. :+fav:

No, he stole my stuff. My bag with my portfolio, art supplies, DVD player, CDs and all kinds o stuff. He held it for ransom, demanding back the $200 advance he had paid me because I had prioritized other, better paying and more urgent jobs ahead of his. He felt I hadn't done enough work on his project, even though there was still two weeks until the due date which he originally claimed he needed it and all I would need was 2-3 days. He came to a coffe shop where I was checking my email and when I wasn't looking, he jacked my bag. He was caught on security camera, but I didn't press charges because he was making all kinds of threats about having his girlfriend and roommate testify that they saw me steal the money - that he never even paid it to me in the first place, I just stole it. There's no way he could've made the charges stick, but I didn't want to go through the hassle so I said I'd pay him. When my paycheck got delayed he got impatient and tracked me down again and stole the Art bag I'd bought to replace the first one. Thing is, that bag had storyboards in it that I needed to turn in later that day, so the director of the project they were for wound up contacting the guy and paying him off with the money he would've given me instead. There's more details but those are the basics. phew!

Geez.. ignorant, impatient asshole. Put him on your "Who not to work for" blacklist. I'd expect something more like raging phone calls, but that guy goes off and steals. It's just..geeeezz.
Good story within itself though. :P

Yeah it is a good story... well, it will be - I still need some distance on it. Aside from being juvenile and borderline psycho, the guy was just stupid. How did he expect me to get him his money back if he kept stealing my art supplies - I'm a freelance artist, I need my art supplies to make the money!

Well, thank you very much.

Which sins are you symbolic of btw?
