Again, a style I was working on a few years ago - more in the vein of editorial illustustration than what I've been doing lately although I still toy with it from time to time.

Brush pen, sharpie, charcoal

Really nice, good mix of a controlled sort of cell shaded technique mixed with a more expressive charcoal stroke in areas. Can't really fault it to be honest!

I really like this one...you've got a beautifully crafted craggy feel going on with the line work, and this is complimented well with the tonal areas...

It'd be good to see it coloured.

Thanks, I'll color it soon. Hadn't really thought about this one much.

Frickin awesome. There really are no flaws, because if this drawing were to be perfect the effect would be ruined. Thus, no longer having the unique and kickass image before us :)

I was kinda sad to read that you ditched developing this style. It's very powerful and unique. It has a both a strong stylization that lends itself to a comic style, but at the same a kind of integrity that makes it truly art. It's very awesome, and, I think (you know, because I have so much experience :sarcasm:), it's easily one of your most striking pieces. I wouldn't color this thing for the world. The black and white makes it jump out with a certain edgyness. Long live brush pen and sharpie! :w00t: Charcoal... well... let's just say we went out for a while and decided that while we got along, the sex just wasn't good enough.

I flirt with fine art. She tells me that she's not that kind of girl, and I tell her that's because she needs one more drink.
